Oil price, Far, Genel, IGas, Reabold, SOCO – And finally…

Oil rallied yesterday on the thoughts of a Fed rate cute and further production cuts from Libya. After the close the better than expected API stats gave a further boost to oil prices and Brent is over $65 this morning. Plenty of company updates but all going well at Far in West Africa with Senegal leading the way, Genel have updated on Tawke where all is good at there and of course Peshkabir. IGas have also updated and is going well, the Bowland shale is very much the pin-up boy. Reabold has topped up in the Corallian raise, we knew it would but the discount helped a great deal. Finally Soco are also updating today and all appears well in Vietnam and Egypt is now underway.

Oil price, Trinity, President, SOCO, Sound And finally…

Oil under pressure as US inventory data takes over from supply shortages although Opec are still expecting to keep supply restrictions at the next meeting. A good, positive statement from Trinity who have an exciting year ahead of them not least their first high-angled well. Also good news from President where production is scheduled to continue to rise by at least 50% in the next two years after a $50m fully funded work programme. SOCO has brought on its recent acquisition in Egypt which will soon match Vietnam for production and with a dividend payment and strong management looks good. Finally Simon Davies returns to the Chair at Sound Energy and at a key time for the company.

Oil price, Chariot, JOG, Soco, IOG And finally…

Oil continues to rally as supply remains down and demand is stable. Chariot has acquired the Lixus licence offshore Morocco which brings a gas discovery and re-balances its risk profile with plenty of upside. JOG has announced that the Verbier appraisal did not encounter the Upper Jurassic sands as expected but the company will continue to work on the 3D seismic survey and Cortina amongst others. Soco has announced that the Merlon deal has completed and IOG has announced its promised Open Offer to shareholders.

Oil price, Amerisur, RockRose/IOG, VOG, Jadestone, Soco, JOG And finally…

Oil is mixed but relatively based, company wise Amerisur have another substantial rise in reserves and should be higher. RockRose have bid for IOG, easier than farming-in I suppose with a 20p offer. All change at VOG as a substantial raise and change of management signals a new, brighter future and Soco admit they also bid for Ophir but their all-paper offer was not good enough. Finally Jadestone Energy have given guidance which sets them off on a substantial voyage of discovery, worth being aboard.

Oil price, President, SOCO, Echo, Columbus, Faroe And finally…

The oil price remains firm and this morning is challenging important levels. President has again given a blockbuster statement with more to come this year whilst SOCO's update was good, i like the Egypt acquisition. Echo are on site fraccing in Argentina and Columbus are making steady progress towards their Latin American targets. Finally Faroe has gone as DNO up the offer and buy up shares in the market, it's the market's view but so short term it's almost indefensible...

Oil price, Savannah, SDX, Soco, RockRose, Reabold, Petro Matad, Providence And finally…

As Opec+ prepares for the Algeria summit oil is perky today and likely to be up on the week. I discuss the Savannah Petroleum deal adding to the Seven assets and notice that SDX may be looking at the huge BP portfolio in Egypt. Soco are also buying in Egypt but more modestly and I look at RockRose after their figures. Reabold have two pieces of news, especially going well in California, Petro Matad has a duster in Mongolia and Providence unveils more Barryroe wells.

Oil price, Frontera Resources, Reabold/Upland, Soco And finally…

A quiet start to the week with oil up around 40+ cents today after last weeks gains. I look at Frontera who have problems with Yorkville but operationally looking pretty good. Also Reabold and Upland are now shortly able to spud the Wick well and Soco adds a new RBL plus an accordion.
